Alright, well, I realized that if I waited to get caught up on all the weeks I've missed between when we first moved from New York to now, this photo project just wasn't going to get back up and running at all. So, I still want to try to get caught up once I have a real computer again {this laptop I'm working on is SO slow and hard to use, not to mention it doesn't have Photoshop}. But until then we're just going to pick up at week 30 and plug along.

SILAS / 2 yrs / Making silly faces and sporting his new railroad striped overalls. By the way, he's saying lots of new words and little phrases these days! Even an occasional "please", which is always nice to hear. Also, in case you missed it, I just posted more details about him here.

PHINEHAS / 3.5 mo. / I just have to mention that Finn started giggling on his three month birthday a couple of weeks back. I love it when the little ones first start to laugh!

ASHER / 4 yrs / He got his first real hair cut this week! Real meaning not-buzzed-by-mom, haha. He looks like such a grown up little boy.

So it turns out that juggling three kids + a move to Germany is a little bit nuts, hence me being massively behind on our 52 Week Photo project posts and just about everything else in my life. But the photos have been taken, just not posted. So here's hoping I can get things caught up!

ASHER / 4 yrs / All smiles on the farm during our long stay with family between duty stations.

SILAS / 2 yrs / Happy birthday, Silas! Unfortunately he turned two the day we drove from New York to Virginia, so we didn't do much celebrating that day. He got a party a little later with lots of the family though, so it was worth the wait.

PHINEHAS / 1 mo. / Still spending lots of his days napping, but starting to smile a little bit here and there!

ASHER / 4 yrs / Smiling for the camera and jumping on the bed; always a good combination! We recently bought two twin sized beds, one for Asher and one for Silas, but so far Silas is more than happy to stay in the crib in the other room. So Asher has a field day having TWO beds all to himself. At least until we get to Germany.

PHINEHAS / 6 weeks / I haven't quite caught it on camera, but he's starting to smile! He's also much more wakeful most days and sleeping fairly well at night, {with a few exceptions, of course...when are kids ever totally predictable?}

SILAS / 23 mo. / Everyone deserves a chair that's just their size! This little vintage school chair is mostly used for climbing up onto Thane and I's bed, but this week it was a great prop for our photos. By the way, Silas technically has a few more days until he hits two, but he has fully arrived to his terrible two stage. Asher seemed to skip that altogether, so this is new {and scary} territory for us.

ASHER / 4 yrs / The aftermath of playing in the hose outside. He loves making faces for the camera so much that I rarely get any that aren't totally silly, so- as much as I love the silly faces- this is a gem!

SILAS / 23 mo. / I gave him his first haircut last week! He's looking so grown up these days.

PHINEHAS / 5 wks / He's starting to be a little more alert during the days {and a little less alert during the nights, praise God!}, but it makes for interesting mornings... And when I say "interesting", what I really mean is CRAZY, hahaha. Keeping up with three boys is no light task!

ASHER / 4 yrs / More fun in the back yard! We're spending as much time outside as we can these days.

SILAS / 22 mo. / Oh my gosh, look at him! I asked him to look at me for a photo as he was walking away, and he stopped, turned, and leaned back in the pose you see here, hahaha. And that hair is just crazy!

PHINEHAS / 1 mo. / Do all babies make little pursed lip faces? Our boys all seem too, and it's the cutest.

PHINEHAS / 3 wks / Soaking up some sun on our back deck. I was lucky to get a photo with his eyes open, he's such a sleepy little guy!

SILAS / 22 mo. / He was pretty sleepy today too. It's been an exciting few weeks around here, and I think all of us could use some extra napping!

ASHER / 4 yrs / I stole this photo from this post. Summer is so, so messy when you have a pack of little boys, but I'm just glad we have a spot in our backyard where he can dig to his heart's content. This keeps him busy for at least an hour at a time!

PHINEHAS / about 2.5 weeks? / Sleeping, sleeping, sleeping...and occasionally eating. And then more sleeping!

ASHER / 4 yrs / He usually won't let me take a photo of him without the silliest face he can muster. This was my favorite of many.

SILAS / 22 mo. / Silas has officially graduated from baby to big boy. Ever since bringing Finn home {and getting watched mostly by Thane + Asher over his paternity leave} it's like he's gained five or ten pounds and turned into true-to-form two year old, tantrums and all.

SILAS / 22 mo. / Had to get a photo of these curls before he gets his first haircut. As much as I love his hair, it's getting long and he rubs it around on everything until it's a big, poofy, frizzy mess, devoid of actual curls. And to be fair, it was Thane that brought up the hair cut idea first...of course I resisted and responded in a "how dare you suggest cutting my baby's hair?!" fashion. But after trying to talk him out of it, I realized he's probably right.

PHINEHAS / 2 weeks / This little boy knows how to sleep, oh my goodness! He's probably awake for about two or three hours a day. I can't remember when they start being awake for longer, but I'm a little anxious for that time to get here. Not that I don't appreciate the fact that his sleeping is helping us ease into having three kids to take care of...but of course I love it when he's awake and alert and looking around.

ASHER / 4 yrs / I'm so proud of Asher, he's got quite a budding mind! He loves playing chess with Thane- they're in the "learning" phase of course. He also loves making jokes and doing anything he can do to make us laugh. My favorite thing might be when he says something that tickles him so much that he laughs all by himself, hahaha. He's quite a lively, happy, humorous little boy.

PHINEHAS / 3 days old / It's so exciting to get to add another little brother to our weekly photos! Welcome to the family, Finn!
SILAS / 22 mo. / Fuzzy curls and his new spider man rain boots. He loves them.
ASHER / 4 yrs / Digging in the dirt and also enjoying his new rain boots. He picked them out himself {they light-up, which he can never resist if he has a choice.}

Needless to say, bringing a new baby home has made for an amazing week. The boys love little Finn and Thane and I are pretty partial to him too. We are so blessed to get to have this relaxed time together as a family while Thane's off of work and the weather is beautiful and sunny. We're so thankful to the Lord for every bit of it!

ASHER / 4 yrs / I stole a couple of photos from our Easter Egg hunt for this week since I haven't been picking up the camera as much as usual. We've had a few truly nice days lately to get out do multiple egg hunts. Praise God for spring, even with it being rainy and snowy and unpredictable!

SILAS / 22 mo. / I was so lazy/tired this year that I didn't even get Easter baskets ready for the boys {not exactly one of my prouder moments}. But, you'd better believe those eggs were filled with yummy candy! I'm glad we at least had a couple of fun pails for the egg hunt. It was these or plastic Walmart bags, hahaha.

ASHER / 4 yrs / Sampling the snow. Takes us grown-ups back, doesn't it?
SILAS / 21 mo. / I asked him to look at me for the sake of the photo, and this is the pose he gave me! Too cute.

ASHER / 4 yrs / Playing checkers with Daddy. He picks up games like this pretty well, it's so neat to see him learn new and challenging things!
SILAS / 21 mo. / Look at that puppy dog face! His vocabulary is really taking off, by the way. Lately he likes pointing out elbows, balloons, and- his all time favorite- the moon.

ASHER / 4 yrs / Lately this poor boy is always tripping, stubbing his toe, bumping his head, or a combination of all of it!
SILAS / 21 mo. / We have a teeny tiny sink in our powder room that Silas is tall enough to play in. Which is nice when it comes time to wash his hands...and not as nice when he decides to play in the water unattended!

ASHER / 4 yrs / It was 46 degrees outside yesterday! I think Asher was very apprehensive about going out to play, but once he got out there he was in heaven. Praise God for warmer weather! There may still be mounds of snow everywhere, but at least spring is in sight. A bit of a difference from the first week of this year's 52 Week series.
SILAS / 21 mo. / Silas had a ball outside, too. He totally soaked his shoes and the bottom half of his pants in the puddles but didn't even seem to mind how chilly his lower half must have been.

ASHER / 4 yrs / Asher turned four this week! Lots of birthday party photos coming soon...until then, here he is showing off his new Hulk hands.
SILAS / 20 mo. / Another shot from Asher's party where a friend is taking a few moments out of all of the hectic fun to read Silas a Clifford book. He found a picture of a moon in it (one of his favorite things) and was thrilled.
