How's everyone's weekend going? It's a cold and rainy one here, so we're doing our best to keep busy indoors. Thank goodness for simple things like finger paint and Veggie Tales, right? A little bit of a head cold came to pay me a visit {it would have been too good to be true to get through the whole winter without getting sick at least once}, but otherwise we had a great Saturday! There's not much I wouldn't trade for warm weather, flip-flops, and my favorite pair of worn-in shorts, but there's a lot to be thankful; being together, first and foremost. Thane was deployed this time last year. And a baby who's head down and ready to make his appearance in about a month's time. Not to mention sidewalks that are almost void of snow, grass that's peaking out, a surprising number of sunny days, plenty of food on the table, a warm home to live in, a salary, and the constant grace of God in our lives. We've even been out on a few family walks! It's amazing how good 35 degrees feels after you've seen what -24 is like, haha. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to what the next few months are going to bring, but the here and now is good, too! I hope we can all give a hearty amen to that, even as we ride out this last bit of cold weather together.
