Silas is six months old!
Milestones. He started sitting up just a couple days shy of his half-birthday {on December 4th}, and now we're working on rolling over. He's gotten extremely alert in this last month and he's very intent on grabbing things, knocking things over, and tasting things. We've officially reached the stage where everything goes in his mouth. He's exceptionally good at standing up and can hold onto the edge of things and support himself. He's not in a rush to roll over or crawl, but maybe we'll have an early walker!
Personality. Speaking of his mouth, he loves imitating not-so-polite noises with it, and oh does he like to smile! Just like Asher, he's deemed a very smiley baby by just about everyone he meets. He watches every move his big brother makes, and has no idea how much fun is ahead for the two of them! They already like to read books together. His face lights up every time he sees me enter the room, and that just melts my heart. He's also a big talker and likes to squeal and scream when he gets excited.
Night Time. He's still sleeping in a crib in Mommy's room, {but she's considering letting both boys room together at some point, while in this two bedroom house}. For a while he was almost sleeping through the night, but now he's back to waking up two or three times.
Food. He loves homemade sweet potatoes, corn, squash, and he'll even eat peas. He surprisingly does not like bananas or most things fruity. And he occasionally gets spoiled by his Grandma Wende and gets to munch on a Ritz cracker.
