Is it just me, or is it a challenge to keep a two year old busy doing productive things in the normal day-in, day-out life of a stay at home mom?
I felt like I was running out of fun things to do with Asher a couple of months back, especially when it was just him and I and Thane was working 15 hour days and the weather was terrible in upstate New York. So I finally went out and got some finger paint. {I say "finally" because I'd been meaning to do it for a while.} Finger paint certainly isn't anything ground breaking, but praise God that it was an instant hit! We got into a great habit of doing it at least a couple of times a week {before we moved again anyway}. I even went out and got some hanging magnets so that we could display his paintings on the fridge. I love that he's to the stage where he can do this kind of thing!
What about my fellow stay at home moms? What kind of activities are you doing/did you do with your kids to fill your days? I can always use fresh ideas.
